APOLLO 11 50th Anniversary - What Have we Learned?

Event Description: 

Kopernik will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.  Learn how we got to the Moon 50 years ago and learn about the latest robotic missions to our nearest neighbor including the recent Lunar  Reconnaissance Orbiter Mission. Tish Bresee shares why we should return to the Moon, and how the Moon will play a critical role in our exploration of the solar system. Along with the presentation there will be family activities including observing the moon’s orbit in 3D, space food samples, lunar websites and games, visit our inflatable habitat and simulation of lunar impacts.
