Event Description:
Today is the 50th anniversary of the first humans landing on the Moon as part of NASA’s Apollo 11 lunar mission. During the Apollo program of the 1960’s and ’70s, NASA sent nine missions to the Moon. Six missions successfully landed astronauts on the Moon. After this special Science on a Sphere show, try your hand at walking on the Moon via immersive experiences on the SOS Explorer kiosk. At 8:30 pm join us for star gazing in Scott Park. It’s our Star Party.
