The South Carolina State Museum, Midlands Astronomy Club, and Hunter-Gatherer Brewery and Alehouse, are partnering to offer a new series of science cafes. Join us as University of South Carolina graduate student Francie Cashman discusses her research using quasars to study how galaxies have evolved over time. Quasars are among the most powerful objects in the known universe. These active galaxies shine so brightly that astronomers can detect them across vast distances in space.
The Midlands Astronomy Club will offer telescope viewing 7:30pm-9:30pm.
