Out in Space, Down to Earth STEM Educator Conference
The 24th annual Out in Space, Down to Earth STEM Educator conference on Saturday, March 3, 2018 is for educators of all grade levels, pre-K – 12 and brings together hands on professional development workshops and local resources. The goal is to provide educators with the latest TEKS based STEM teaching strategies and concepts, collaboration opportunities and research to expand professional growth.
We encourage you to share this information with your science and math teachers. The teaching of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) is a priority in today’s schools. As the need for strong students in STEM grows, so does the need for well qualified STEM teachers. The Out in Space, Down to Earth STEM Educator conference provides:
- Hands-on sessions that enhance on-going development of teachers to improve their STEM knowledge, as well as their pedagogical skills.
- Grade-based and subject-based strands including a tailored Early Childhood Education track for those who provide services to pre-K – 1st grade students.
- Networking opportunities that enhance on-going development of STEM teachers and leaders.
- Local resources and vendors that provide tools and resources to further enhance the skills of educators.
- 6 hours of CPE’s
The ultimate goal of the conference is to positively impact overall student performance in STEM at all levels.
