Space Apps Challenge 2021 is a 48-hour global virtual hackathon for scientists, engineers, programmers, storytellers and entrepreneurs around the world to use NASA’s open data to solve NASA-designed real-world Challenges. Nova77 STEM Workshop is hosting the lead event for Las Vegas and surrounding area over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd of October, 2021.

The Award for Space Apps 2021 Winners

Space Apps winners will be featured on the Space Apps website and social media, and they will receive an invitation to present their projects to NASA personnel (and space agency partners, if applicable). If travel is deemed safe, the winners will also be invited to visit a NASA site with the Space Apps Global Organizing (GO) Team to view a spacecraft launch. Each member of each winning team and one guest each will be invited and will be responsible for covering their own costs for their personal travel, meals and incidental expenses, and accommodation expenses. Winners typically conduct fundraising activities to cover the costs of their trips. The Local Lead associated with each winning team will also receive an invitation to visit a NASA site and view a spacecraft launch. They will be allowed to invite one guest each. Both the Local Lead and their guest will be responsible for covering their own costs for their personal travel, meals and incidental expenses, and accommodation expenses.
