STEM Space At Home Video Series

"Plants in Space" video still

This video series was developed to support STEM learning at home during COVID-19 school closings. Each video session is led by an engineer who explores a different topic each week such as growing plants in space, building a lander on Mars, or designing a robotic arm. The video also includes instructions for students to complete an engineering design challenge. Each video covers relevant science concepts, guides students through the engineering design process, and provides a real-world current event and STEM career connection. Activities involve materials easily available at home to maximize accessibility. Videos utilize information from the NASA website as well as showcase images and video clips produced by NASA to highlight NASA missions such as Artemis and the ISS.
